Pearson Survey - Employers encouraging certification programs, increasing credentialing effort

The adoption of digital, and covid pandemic accelerated the growth of skill certification programs among the IT community. Pearson Vue a leader in technology skill certification recently published a survey of Certified professionals. The Survey revealed that tech-focused individuals and industries are placing more importance on IT certifications than ever before. The credentialing efforts is growing for candidates and employers alike with 71% of employers increasing efforts to promote certification courses among employees. The report also indicate more than 90% of certified professionals felt more confident and 28% reporting pay increase.

Giving back to community - SkillBoard to partner with Skill Metrics to provide training and certifications raising funds for Not for Profit community organizations. has entered into an agreement with Skill Metrics Inc, which provides career courses in business & technology through its e-Learning portal Under the agreement, will provide no cost ‘Skillboard certification' to learners who take up career courses on if the proceeds of the course are intended for donation to Not for Profit charitable organizations in the US. To get certified, and earn digital badges, candidates must appear in a remote proctored assessment test in the identified domain and score 65% or more. Skillboard will continue to provide free skill certification to those who lost their job in the pandemic and are not able to return to workforce.
